Neil brings nearly 30 years of experience in legal, executive leadership, advising, strategic planning and governance to his role. For much of the last decade, Neil has focused on providing funding and guidance to Alberta based new ventures as a co-founder and partner in Birchcliff Partners LP, and on providing SME advisory services and acquisition capital through a private equity fund founded by Chrysalis Capital Advisors.

He serves as a director or advisor on multiple boards. Neil began his career as a corporate lawyer with Blake, Cassels & Graydon, then transitioned to senior in-house roles, executive leadership and advisory mandates with a diverse group of businesses and private equity firms. Neil earned an LLB (Distinction) from the University of Alberta, an MBA (Distinction) from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BComm from the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
