Passportal acquired by SolarWinds to expand their IT security software portfolio

We are proud to broadcast that Passportal has been acquired by SolarWinds (NYSE:SWI), a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software. In tandem with the announcement came the launch of SolarWinds® Passportal suite—a unified set of password management and privileged client knowledge management tools, expanding the company’s IT security product portfolio. 

Passportal was founded in Calgary, in 2011 by successful MSP owner, Colin Knox. Accelerate Fund II invested in the company in 2017. Passportal grew quickly as an IT security innovator offering MSPs, VARs and ITSPs fully managed, cloud-based software to simplify storing, managing and retrieving passwords as well as providing secure client document management tools from any connected device.
