Accelerate Fund III announces Melania Antoszko as new Calgary-based Investment Analyst

CALGARY, AB – January 11, 2022 – Yaletown Partners, the team co-managing Alberta’s Accelerate Fund II and III, today announced Melania Antoszko as its new Calgary-based Investment Analyst.  This news follows the announcement that Accelerate Fund III has grown to $23 million.

“As we’ve grown the size of the Accelerate Fund, we need new analysts on our team to help discover and evaluate new companies, as well as providing growth support to the many Alberta startups we’ve invested in,” said Arden Tse, Accelerate Fund Investment Manager, Yaletown Partners. “Melania has experience evaluating early-stage VC investments as well as strong expertise on diagnostics, and we’re excited to welcome her to our team.”

Prior to joining Yaletown, Melania was a Venture Fellow with DigitalDX Ventures contributing to fundraising, deal flow data and financial modelling. She also has experience in market and industry research including with Edmonton Economic Development Corporation.

Startups headquartered in Alberta with customer traction and some revenue can apply for co-investment funding from the $23-million Accelerate Fund III. The Accelerate Fund III is co-managed by Yaletown Partners and The A100 from Edmonton and Calgary. The Fund provides an alternate source of financing to foster the growth of Alberta technology companies that aren’t yet venture capital ready. Alberta Enterprise Corporation is Accelerate Funds’ lead limited partner with $15 million invested in the fund, while the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF) has contributed $6 million and additional $2 million is committed from private investors in Alberta.
